Mold Removal in Cypress, TX
The physical removal is the easy part. What determines whether it comes back is what happens around it: whether the area was under negative pressure while material was disturbed, whether the moisture source was actually found, and whether the remaining framing was cleaned to the wood rather than merely sprayed.
Warning signs
How to tell you need this service
- A persistent musty or earthy odour, strongest when a room has been closed
- Black, green or grey speckling on drywall, grout, framing or ceilings
- Allergy-style symptoms — congestion, headaches, itchy eyes — that improve when you leave the building
- Peeling wallpaper, bubbling paint or chalky staining on walls
- Prior water damage that was never professionally dried
- Visible condensation on windows, ducts or cold-water lines
What we solve
Problems this service addresses
- Growth keeps returning after cleaning it with bleach
- A home inspection flagged mould days before closing
- A tenant has raised a habitability complaint
- Someone in the household has ongoing respiratory symptoms
- Mould was found inside a wall cavity during an unrelated renovation
Our process
What happens, step by step
- 01
Inspection & moisture source identification
We locate active moisture first. Remediating growth while the source is still wet is wasted money.
- 02
Testing & sampling
Air and surface samples establish spore counts and species before work begins, giving you a defensible before/after record.
- 03
Containment
Six-mil poly barriers, zippered entries and negative air machines keep spores inside the work area and out of the rest of the building.
- 04
HEPA air filtration
Negative-pressure HEPA scrubbers exchange the air in the containment continuously throughout the project.
- 05
Removal & decontamination
Non-salvageable porous materials are bagged and removed; salvageable structure is HEPA-vacuumed, wire-brushed or soda blasted and treated.
- 06
Drying & moisture correction
The cavity is dried to standard and the moisture source is repaired so the conditions that grew the mould no longer exist.
- 07
Clearance testing & rebuild
An independent hygienist samples the cleared space. Once it passes, we rebuild what was removed.
